These hot pads have 2 layers of insulating Insul-Brite material inside, to keep your pans from heating surfaces in your home. They are also a very handy size for handling pans on the run. NOTE: NOT FOR MICROWAVE USE. Insulation is Insul-Brite fabric which contains metal, which helps reflect the heat away from your hands and surfaces. These are not suitable to put in the microwave.
